What is Design, Build and Sell Scheme Flat (DBSS) ?
DBSS flats are public housing flats developed by private developer. The successful developer will undertake the entire development from planning, design, and construction, to the sale of the flats directly to eligible buyers.
DBSS is a class of housing type between HDB flats and Executive Condominium (EC) / Private Condos. DBSS are generally located in mature estates and in good locations. Flats under DBSS will be offered to buyers under similar HDB eligibility conditions to BTOs.
Who can buy an DBSS?
- Main applicant must be a Singapore Citizen (SC) & the co-applicant has to be either a SC or SPR.
- Minimum 21 years of age at the time of application.
- Family nucleus formed
- Public Scheme
- Fiance / Fiancee Scheme
- Orphan Scheme
- Joint Singles Scheme
- Combined household income must not exceed $10,000 monthly
- Non ownership of private residential property within 30 months
- Fulfilled M.O.P. (Minimum Occupation Period) of HDB flat
